Pocket Change 1 focuses on the acquisition and redevelopment of high-quality, income-producing commercial and multi-family real estate, with a strong emphasis on revitalizing underserved communities. We pursue value-add opportunities through acquisitions, joint ventures, and sale-leaseback models across targeted Detroit neighborhoods and California markets.

2. Community Investment

 

Pocket Change 1 has invested over half a million dollars in the acquisition and development of high-quality, affordable housing. Beyond housing, the team actively hires local tradespeople and veterans to complete renovation projects, creating meaningful job opportunities and fostering economic growth within the communities.

Through partnerships with key agencies such as Brilliant Corners, HOPICS, Watts Labor Community Action Committee (WLCAC), the Veteran Affairs Supportive Housing Program (VASH), and the Long Beach Housing Authority, the leadership has provided stable, safe homes for more than 25 families in California. The company continues to expand in Detroit, with current renovations of a duplex and a triplex scheduled for completion by August 2025.

In addition, Pocket Change 1 is preparing to host workshops on home renovation, plumbing, and trade skills to equip residents with valuable knowledge for self-sufficiency.
